I’m a vocal-based sound and installation artist.
I like capturing live sounds as they unfold in the moment. Spontaneity or “aliveness” is a great descriptor of my work. Whether from a Max patch, field recorder, or handmade instrument I’m always looking for sound that is unpredidable.
My field recordings take on cinmentaic qualities. Like photos, they snapshot sound events in large galleries, echoey hallways, and libraries- strung together to create stories and journeys.
